How to configure your email id in Microsoft Outlook ?

Configuring your mail ID in Microsft Outlook is not one of the biggest task around you. And to get this done you don’t have to bother your web host also. Configuring outlook is a simple process which can be done in few simple steps. Microsoft has made it very simple now with Outlook 2007. All you need to do is enter your name or title for you account and then your mail ID and password.

You can make use of the following steps to configure your official or personal mail id in Microsoft Outlook.

Automatic  Setup:

1. Open outlook 2007 and click “Next”
2. Select Internet Email or Micrsoft exchange or Email Server option and click “next”
3. Enter Your Name or Title and Email Id and password and click “Next”  [Don’t tick manual settings]
4. Encrypted connection may not be possible, so go for non encrypted connection [don’t worry everything will be done automatically]
5. Click the “Finish” button when it is done. Your account is configured, now you can start sending mails.

Manual  Setup:

1. Open outlook 2007 and click “Next”
2. Select Internet Email or Micrsoft exchange or Email Server option and click “Next”
3. Enter Your Name or Title and Email Id and password and click “Next” after marking the “Manual Setings option”
4. Enter the details as in the picture and Click “Next” button
5. Click the “Finish” button when it is done. Your account is configured, now you can start sending mails.
